Lubomír Metnar

Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic

Lubomír Metnar has been Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic since December 2025. He previously held this position from 2017 to 2018. Between 2018 and 2021, he served as Minister of Defense. Since 2021, he has been a Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Earlier in his career, he also acted as Deputy Minister of the Interior and worked with the Czech Police as well as in the private sector.
