Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic

Jaromír Zůna has been the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic and Deputy Prime Minister since December 2025. From 2019 to 2022, he served as the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces. In the past, he has also held other high-ranking command and administrative positions in the Czech Army and at the Ministry of Defense. Within both the Czech Armed Forces and NATO structures, he has focused on military training from command positions.
