Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic

General Aleš Opata has been the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic since May 2018. In the past, he was among other thins, the National military Representative of the Czech Republic at the SHAPE in Belgium. He has been deployed in missions in the former Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Afghanistan.
