Nicholas A. Merrick

Nicholas Merrick has served as the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Czech Republic since 20 October 2025. Prior to assuming his diplomatic post, he worked in the fields of investment and telecommunications. He was the founder and president of Mt. Vernon Investments, which was among the first investors in Truth Social. Earlier in his career, he worked in the telecommunications industry as Chief Financial Officer of Telco Communications Group, Inc., where he helped facilitate its sale to Excel Communications. He subsequently served as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Excel Communications and played a key role in its merger with Teleglobe, Inc.
