Chairman of STAN, Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

Vít Rakušan has chaired the Mayors and Independents (STAN) movement since 2019 and has been a Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic since 2017. From 2021 to 2025, he held the offices of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. In the past, he served as the Mayor of the city of Kolín and a regional councilor of the Central Bohemian Region. He was also the Chairman of the Permanent Commission for Control of Military Intelligence Activities.
